Bath and Racquet is thrilled to announce its partnership and collaboration with tennis legend and former ATP #2 Tommy Haas, on one of the most exciting real estate and revitalization projects along Florida’s Gulf Coast – Bath + Racquet Residences and Club in Sarasota. Founded in 1969 (and previously called Bath + Racquet Club), the iconic venue was once a cherished hub for tennis enthusiasts, having hosted prominent events such as the Virginia Slims of Sarasota women’s tennis tournament, amongst many more. Not only was Bath & Racquet Club a destination for sports and social culture at the time, but it also served as one of the early driving forces in the development of women’s professional tennis – with Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova and others stepping foot onto its outdoor green clay courts.

In addition, Tommy Haas himself is no stranger to the region, having spent his youth in Bradenton, Florida, training under the late Nick Bollettieri at his legendary academy.

As Global Ambassador and Club Curator, Tommy Haas will help ensure that members of The Club receive the best possible on-court experience, bringing his decades of knowledge into design, programming, activation, and overall elite sportsmanship gained throughout a career competing at the highest level. He will also help curate the coaching experience, the day-to-day tennis operations, as well as invite talent – from trainers to players – to partake in all the facilities and activities at Bath + Racquet Residences and Club, making it a destination for those seeking year-round options along their tennis circuit.
